Filed under: Sports — Breaking News @ 9:27 pm

The Rochester Honkers’ six-game road trip got off to a rocky start tonight as Alexandria Beetles pitcher Erik Johnson shut them down for seven innings in a 3-1 Honkers loss. Johnson allowed one run on just two hits while walking three Honkers hitters and striking out five. Bryce Uhrig and Matt Miller each added one inning of scoreless relief to seal the victory for the Beetles. Rochester scored its only run in the top of the seventh, with the Beetles already leading 3-0. Danny Brock, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and a run scored, hit a two-out double and scored on Aaron Dunsmore’s single.
