Olmsted Medical Center to restrict visits due to H1N1

Filed under: Public Safety — Breaking News @ 7:57 pm

Olmsted Medical Center will be restricting visits to hospitalized patients starting Sunday (Nov. 1), and continuing through April 30 due to the H1N1 influenza pandemic. Children under 12 will no longer be able to visit, to protect them from H1N1. And visitors will be required to either use hand sanitizer or thoroughly wash their hands before — and after — they enter a patient’s room. Visitors will be screened for flu-like symptoms. If they have symptoms, they will be asked to leave the building.  Only the father (or another support person) and grandparents will be allowed to visit any BirthCenter patient.
