Kasson-Mantorville wins, Triton loses in football playoffs

The Kasson-Mantorville football team defeated La Crescent 30-14 in playoff football tonight in Kasson. Bryan Ripley passed for three touchdowns and ran for another in the Section One, Class AAA football championship game. K-M (11-0) advances to the state quarterfinals at 6 p.m. Nov. 14 at Lakeville North High School. They will play Waseca, which edged Minneapolis Washburn 27-26 in the Section 2AAA championship game tonight.

Triton couldn’t stop Waterville-Elysian-Morristown’s diverse and smooth-running offense. The result was a 27-0 win for WEM.
