Winona County prosecutors plan to convene a new grand jury against James Raymond Bolstad, a week after a judge dismissed his indictment for his alleged role in a murder 24 years ago. Judge Jeff Thompson says “errors” by the prosecutor’s office raised questions about the impartiality of the grand jury. The 63-year-old Bolstad had been indicted in the 1985 murder of Ada Senenfelder. Thompson says prosecutors introduced inadmissible evidence that unfairly prejudiced the grand jury.
