HIBBING — The Boundary Waters Drug Task Force announced Thursday that it wrapped up several Iron Range drug investigations in October and November leading to charges against six people in six separate cases.
“We’re seeing an increase in meth use up here on the range again and we’re trying to make some headway to rid it from our communities,” said Sgt. Jason Ackerson of the task force, which is based in Hibbing.
–Michael Ronnie Alan Schultz, 35, of Anoka, Minn., was arrested Oct. 26 in Eveleth while possessing methamphetamine. He was charged in St. Louis County District Court in Virginia with first-degree possession of a controlled substance.
–Nicholas Allen Spotts, 23, of Hibbing was charged Oct. 31 in St. Louis County District Court in Hibbing with first-degree sale of a controlled substance-methamphetamine.
–Sherri Lea Waldvogel, 42, of Keewatin was taken into custody Oct. 31 and charged in Itasca County District Court with two counts of fourth-degree sales of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance-
Oxycodone and Adderall.
–Jonathan Eric Carlson, 30, of Hibbing was charged Nov. 4 in St. Louis County District Court in Hibbing with two counts of third-
degree sale of a controlled substance-morphine and hydrocodone.
–Trisha Nicole Cullen, 28, address unavailable, was arrested Nov. 17 after a search warrant was executed in Hibbing. She was charged with two counts of first-degree sale of a controlled substance-
–Keith Irwin Petty III, 33, of Eveleth was charged Nov. 18 in St. Louis County District Court in Virginia with third-degree sale of a controlled substance.
