TACONITE, Minn. — A 69-year-old man from Minnesota’s Iron Range is dead after a gun accident.
The Itasca County sheriff’s office says William Arthur Hanson of Taconite was practice shooting in an old mine dump and having problems with his gun jamming.
The Duluth News Tribune (http://bit.ly/HS5bWE ) reports when Hanson leaned against a pickup Wednesday to talk to someone, the handgun accidentally went off, wounding him in the chest.
Hanson was pronounced dead at a hospital.
