MINNEAPOLIS — Warm, humid weekend weather gave way to rain and snow in Minnesota Monday.

The fast-moving storm Sunday produced several unconfirmed tornadoes in south and south-central Minnesota, but there were no reports of damage or injuries. The Star Tribune says two tornado touchdowns were reported in McLeod County late Sunday. There was also an unconfirmed report of a tornado in Lyon County near Ghent.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for most of northeastern Minnesota through Monday morning. A winter weather advisory was issued for the remainder of the northeast region. Grand Rapids in northern Minnesota, where about 6 inches of snow had fallen, canceled classes Monday.
