  • Let's look for ways to remake government

    Fire 10% of government workers.
    Close 1/10 of government offices.
    Cut welfare by 30%.

Most importantly, make public employee unions illegal.

  • Corn mash tank collapses at Claremont ethanol plant

“Al-Corn had been TRYING TO GET PERMITS to get rid of the tank that failed and the one that drained..”

Apparently Al-Corn realized months ago that the tank needed to be replaced.
They applied for a permit from the MPCA to replace these 8 months ago.

They have been waiting 8 months for an MPCA permit to replace a tank.

  • Raising taxes is self-defeating

“...republicans with non-thinking ability...don’t ask them to support the cutting of defense spending..the money for those projects apparently just falls from the sky.”
    -thesliiide-

The U.S. Constitution states the government will provide for the “common defense” of the United States. Where does the Constitution state government pension will be provided for employees?

Teachers and state employees each contribute into their pension funds with a matching portion by the state. These contributions are *supposedly* put into investment funds for future benefits.
    Were they?  NO!

The democrat controlled legislature for the last 38 years has put these pension contributions into the General Fund and spent them!!
This left the future pension liability unfunded or on a per year basis.

Now the pity poor tax payers are supposed to pony up half a trillion or so.
Mmm um, now that’s what our previous legislature and newbie governor (who wants to bail out the teacher union) is..... “true spend it all blue.”

  • Lewis W. Diuguid: Evidence for climate change is as close as your yard

    Uh oh. Poor “experts.”
Wrong time after time after time after time after time after time after time after time.

    “Eight Botched Environmental Forecasts”:
    http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2010/12/30/botched-environmental-forecasts/

Those promoting “global warming” are CALLING it science but it’s not, and that’s why people are being duped.

Once a hypothesis is formed experiments are designed not to prove it, but to disprove it.
Once a theory survives many attempts to prove it wrong and no OTHER explanations are available at our current level of knowledge, then a theory is considered valid, but never proven. This is why things like gravity are still referred to as theories.

So, if you develop a theory that CO2 is THE driving force in global warming but then observe that there are extended periods of time when the temperature drops while the CO2 continues to rise - this in itself, should be enough to disprove the theory!

.....That is unless you are not really into the scientific process.....but more into ideology and redistributing trillions of dollars out of America.
