And Lynch, save your breath and keystrokes. The governor did you a favor. The citizens of Rochester are not behind this.
Instead of bad-mouthing the gov’s prudent representation, get to work on fixing the spending problem we have!!
03/15/2010 11:46 AMYour city hall sure is pretty, though, Mary.
02/28/2010 6:45 PMMs. Nelson, your response to my question did not disappoint. I know applying facts and reason to an argument based on emotion ups the ante a bit.
Appreciate the effort, though.
02/28/2010 6:41 PMThose, like Mr. Scott, who desire names only do so to castigate. As long as there are curtains on voting booths, the anonymity debate is moot.
02/26/2010 1:18 PMBenchrider, the BAC has everything to do with it. It is analogous to someone running a red light and killing someone. Do you then make running a red light a felony and attach devices to cars that report themselves when it cruises through a red? Don’t laugh. It could happen.
Or take the speeding thing. Going 5 miles over the limit is fined equally as going 50 over?? Speeding kills, right?
The only difference with these scenarios is you’re not attaching “that ugly habit” to the behavior.
Common sense and reason need to be applied to laws and punishments. This proposal does neither.
Put the devices in the severe BAC’s and repeat offenders. Period.
