The will of the people is the only legitimate foundation of any government, and to protect its free expression should be our first object.
~ Thomas Jefferson
Oh Frank Pah-leez.. In your diatribe ‘right’ and Republican could so very easily be ‘left’ and Democrate. If you would have us believe everything ANY politician says or does is on the up and up you must also walk on water and turn water into wine.
02/01/2010 1:13 PMAh Dimple… no worries.. they’ll never catch up with ACORN.
02/01/2010 12:55 PMAnd, Sarah Palin spent a lot of time in public office before being on the ticket.. She is also about as wildly popular as BO - depending on who you talk to.
02/01/2010 9:42 AMJust to clarify.. we have both.. close and far away.. I live in ‘windmill alley’ and am surrounded. :) I’ve just decided there are better things to spend my energy on then a windmill that causes me little to no grief.
01/24/2010 5:37 PMI live in the same rural area. Here’s what I can tell you.. There are several turbines very close to our home.. on a quiet night you can hear the windmills ‘woosh’.. that’s it. They don’t interfere with our TV or cell signal and they’re TALL.. it’s not like you can see the top of them from the window. I can still see the stars from my deck, we still have deer in our yard and I still don’t have the noise of city traffic. Farmers are paid for the land and most likely get a yearly contracted price for use of the land. We do not see any of the energy or cost benefit for energy generated, as it is sold.
We also have a dozen HUGE pig barns within a mile of our house. This makes country life on a hot summer day miserable. We don’t have or own either but I’ll take the windmills any day, any time.
