Mmmm, Totino’s and spinach dip. Anyone else just get really hungry (at 2:30 in the afternoon, having just finished putting away lunch dishes)? Ha ha. Love the article and would love the receipe for your Spinach artichoke dip, still haven’t found a good homemade receipe. Pretty please? I’ll save ya some....
02/26/2010 2:25 PMHave you actually seen someone throw dead fish or gophers on the field of play??? I think I would throw up!
Our oldest is 9 years old and at this point everyone is still just having fun with sports. I know that the time is coming soon when we’ll see this type of behavior and hope that everyone who reads the article heeds your advice. -Remember that your kids (and others’ kids) learn from the adults around them!
I love the Super Target on the south side! I had to go to Walmart yesterday to pick up a specific item for my mom and realized that I haven’t been there in months.
I love the organization at Target, the helpfulness of the staff and the fact that the store is CLEAN! I happily pay a little more money for much happier shopping trips. I love that when I ask an employee a question, I get an answer- if not directly from them, they ask on the little walkie talkie and get me what I need with no fuss or blank stares. We only used the Clinic there twice but was pleased with the service and it only cost our usual co-pay—without the drive to NE Clinic to see our family med doctor.
And Schrute, (LOVE The Office and wish I had some Schrute bucks!) you are right about the Banana Republic here in Stewartville but I know lots of families that shop at both stores (eek, even some at KMart!) that work/get medical care at both facilities.
P.S. I’m just a stay at home mom with too much time on my hands but that’s my opinion! =)
What a wonderful idea! A great way to show patriotism and civic pride! This is especially nice for Rochester’s older generation that would enjoy having a flag out on these dates but are physically unable to do so on their own. =)
02/02/2010 9:48 AMCharlie- there is a show similar to what you are suggesting on MTV called “Teen Moms” (or something like that). They initally documented the pregnancies of teen girls and how they struggled with pregnancy but it almost came across as glamorous. The girls received special treatment, got out of school for appts, had baby showers, ect. They then decided to follow these mom’s into baby’s first year—reality hit. All are struggling, have money issues and are having difficulty finishing school. This show is one that I wish more teens would watch (especially girls, as the moms are the ones in the show struggling, the dads are out doing the same things they have always done) to see that while babies are a wonderful thing, waiting until you are married and are established to have them is the best way to go.
