Excellent post Sea_ Wolfman. I too have worked in long term care. You gave a clear picture of long term care from a health care worker’s view. Good points.
03/16/2010 1:23 AMI am one of Podulke’s “grumpy “people. Since this topic has come up the last couple years I have spent time between appts at the Clinic asking this question of people from away . “Are you concerned that there is a railroad about 5-6 blocks from the clinic which hauls farm chemical and coal, etc . Would it affect your coming to the Clinic ?”
Almost all say they never gave it a thought. That they didn’t know it was a problem. They didn’t know the Railroad was there and ‘no’ it didn’t worry them
I didn’t impose myself on these people …just asked the question while we visited as people do waiting for appts.
I live in Dodge Co. Podulke should stick to stained glass which he does so well.
03/13/2010 11:57 AMThere are those who get upset by head scarves. But remember when nuns wore habits covering every thing but the face ? Some Menonites and Amish women wear a little cap. Why do we get so excited about the head scarves ???
An aside...I have thought they would be good on a bad hair day :>)
I would hope this policy is only for social meetings. Would not like to think big decisions were being made by alcohol fogged minds.
