Atilla - you proved my point perfectly. The link you provided, as well as hundreds of similarly flawed ones, completely misreads his comments and parses them out of context. It is not a terrifically complicated thing he is talking about… only through ignorance or dishonesty can conservative pundits and bloggers interpret that interview in that fashion. He is clearly and I repeat, CLEARLY, talking about the strategies used by civil rights activists vis a vis the courts, not the fundamentals of the constitution.
But this kind of silliness is useful for revealing the shallowness of conservative thought. What if he HAD said the constitution was flawed? Would that have been a capital offense? There are 27 amendments to the document, suggesting that some improvements were required. And the founding fathers were perfectly aware of that fact, which is why there is an amendment process.
