Bill you asked “Jason, can you point out where “thousands” of jobs were “promised”? Anywhere?”
I’m not “Jason” but I did find an article that “point out where “thousands” of jobs were “promised”. That is what you asked for. That is what I gave you. You, also, made it sound like NO articles had ever said “thousands”. I just showed you one that had, and it is one that anyone (with a password) can read.
01/20/2010 3:34 PMArticles have given projected job numbers for Elk Run. I did a quick search of the PB archive and found this:
“According to the city’s grant application, the first phase of the biobusiness park would include a 40,000-square-foot building valued at $16 million and would create 123 bioscience jobs. Once the park is completed, it would include 1.7 million square feet of biobusiness space with a value of $340 million and would create more than 5,000 jobs, according to Tower’s plan.” ‘Pine Island gets $600,000 grant for Biobusiness Park’ February 6, 2008
OCLM owned KLM (Kenyon Lumber Yard). NOT Kasson’s lumber yard. ABC Company(Arrow Building Center) is located in Kasson. They are still open. Their website is http://www.abc-clc.com
01/02/2010 5:33 PMbench rider - county line road doesn’t have much either - a mostly empty industrial park. Cty 15 at least goes south to 30. County line road goes south turns into black top and then curves to the west to meet Cty 15. Last I heard the state was leaning towards the Cty. 15 interchange. However it’s many years in the future.
12/18/2009 4:06 PMThis is not the first time this project has been mentioned in the news. Below are three articles that I found in the archives of the PB.
“Project Questions answered tonight” - 11/20/2008
“Groups react to proposed science center in Rochester” - 01/11/2008
“Nature Center Planned” - 12/19/2007
